Software Engineer

Job Description
This candidate will function as a Software Engineer with responsibilities
to develop and support control system software for NEXX Systems’
semiconductor processing equipment. The candidate must be familiar with
C/C++ software development on Windows XP platforms, including the development
of communication modules and graphical user interfaces. The candidate’s
primary focus will be on the development of software modules for the integration
of various third party semiconductor automation subsystems, including
front-end robots and EFEMs. The candidate will also collaborate with mechanical
and electrical engineering to develop/improve the overall functionality
of the company’s processing equipment. Candidate must possess a
BS degree in electrical engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience
in C/C++ software programming. Knowledge of modern control system hardware
and the semiconductor industry is necessary.
Responsiblities
- Develop and support control system software.
- Participate in system engineering specification development.
- Support system documentation.
- Interface with customers to define, qualify and improve products.
- Support product transition into manufacturing.
- Provide field support.
Qualifications
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 5 years of experience programming in C/C++
- Experience with:
- Developing software on Windows XP platforms.
- Developing software modules that interface with various third party
subsystems with a focus on front-end robots and EFEMs.
- Writing communication modules and graphical user interfaces.
- Ability to:
- Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Relate ideas clearly and concisely to all levels of personnel.
