System Technician

Role
Support production ramp for Stratus electro-deposition system.
Responsiblities
- Primary responsibility will be on the Stratus product line as we build and integrate the products through engineering and production. This individual will be responsible for production builds and in some cases pilot builds of new options or upgrades. Will include assembly and testing of precision mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies/subassemblies, alignment, setup, troubleshooting, and test of product. Recording of test data and logging results.
- Ability to resolve problems and malfunctions encountered in assembly and testing.
- Will follow and enhance processes and procedures. Responsible for the orderly filing and correctness of documentation, drawings and notes required during the build phase to support ECO documentation control and continuous improvement.
- Assist in training production technicians during hand off to outsource suppliers
- Will be required at times to work in a clean room environment
- General area housekeeping
- MRB activity and support. Quality incoming inspection of materials and assemblies used in assembly process. Filing of non-compliant material reports as required.
- Supporting build/test cycle time and cost saving initiatives.
- Willing to support occasional overtime when necessary to meet shipping commitments.
Qualifications
- HS diploma and 5+ years of related electro/mechanical assembly experience and test. Associates or certification in Electrical or Mechanical discipline preferred.
- Electrical, mechanical, and plumbing experience
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with a logical approach to both mechanical and electronic problem-solving
- Solid knowledge of sound manufacturing and quality practices, including industry world-class practiced workmanship standards.
- Ability to work from conception sketches, engineering notes and or formal documentation is required. Ability to mark up and submit for revision where required.
- Working knowledge and use of assembly hand/power tools, meters, calipers, verniers, etc.
- Solid communication ability between engineers, materials, and test personnel a must
- Is a self starter with high level of motivation and self-discipline. Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Has good organizational skills.
- ISO and LEAN practice experience a plus
- Knowledge of basic computer skills (Windows software / Office: Word/Excel)
