Documentation Control Clerk

Role
Primary responsibility will be processing engineering change orders (ECO) and engineering instructions (EI).

Responsiblities

This requires using a material resource planning (MRP) system as will as a product data management (PDM) system. With the use of these computer tools the individual will create and modify item masters, bills of material, engineering drawings & models as well as ECO and EI documents. Work starts with reviewing ECO and EI packages for completeness and accuracy, reviewing engineering drawings, material specifications, work instructions etc. Preparing for weekly change control board (CCB) meetings by creating and distributing ECO packages. Attending CCB and recording meeting decisions. Upon approval packages will be worked on to; advance revisions, update systems, create pdf files, send out notices of completion and maintain hard copy files. Complete other documentation duties as needed.

Qualifications

A minimum of 4 years experience working in a documentation control discipline within a manufacturing company. Working experience with a MRP system required, working experience with a PDM system preferred but not required. Ideal candidate must be detail oriented and possess the ability to do highly accurate work consistently. They must be able to manage a number of tasks simultaneously. They must be familiar with industry standards for engineering documentation as well as best practices.

Education/Certifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
